When you install Libreoffice 4.0 f...for SeijiSensei<br />When you install Libreoffice 4.0 from debs it gets installed in /opt with launchers in /opt/libreoffice4.0/program/ Opening Writer/Calc etc is easy on Ubuntu when you search for libreoffice on Dash.<br /><br />The command "$ soffice" does not work even on Ubuntu 12.04 but<br /> "$ libreoffice4.0" works because there is a symlink of /opt/libreoffice4.0/program/soffice in /usr/bin/libreoffice4.0<br /><br />I am sure you will find this symlink in Kubuntu 12.04 as well.<br /><br />Kamalakar Agashehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10435854058593657185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14821769.post-28193939405543118242013-02-15T00:42:51.222+05:302013-02-15T00:42:51.222+05:30In Kubuntu 12.04 I had to do some extra work to ge...In Kubuntu 12.04 I had to do some extra work to get it to integrate with the desktop. If you run soffice from the command prompt with "$ soffice &", you'll see that it complains that it cannot find the version string GLIBCXX_3.4.11 in the file ../ure-link/lib/libstdc++.so.6 which is packaged with LibreOffice4! <br /><br />Luckily you already have a more up-to-date version of libsstdc++.so.6 in /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu.
